Hi! My name is Christina. I'm an industrial designer passionate about creating solutions that address real-world challenges. I believe meaningful design comes from direct engagement with communities and understanding their lived experiences. My featured project, the Enfold Tote Bag, is a convertible shelter system that transforms from a bag into a tent and blanket. It is project that aims to provide dignity and security for those without stable housing.

Enfold Tote Bag

The Enfold Tote Bag is a multi-functional emergency shelter system designed for unhoused people. This design uses an origami-inspired folding structure to transform from a portable bag into two essential components: a protective tent and a warm blanket.

Bag Structure

The outer layer unfolds to create a tent structure that shields users from rain, wind, and sun, while the inner layer detaches to serve as a blanket for warmth during cold nights. When not deployed as shelter, it functions as a practical tote bag for carrying personal belongings.
