Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2025

I’m a VFX/CGI artist and a multidisciplinary designer exploring the intersection of storytelling, technology, and spatial experience. My work moves fluidly across film, motion graphics, and digital environments, combining technical precision with an emotional, cinematic sensibility.

I specialise in 3D scene and environment building, using tools such as Houdini, Maya, Substance, etc. Much of my creative focus revolves around how light, material, and structure can evoke feeling, whether through a cinematic sequence, a brand motion sequence, or interactive pieces of work.

SHOWREEL

This showreel showcases a collection of my 3D, VFX, and motion design projects created using Houdini, Maya, Substance Painter, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. It highlights environment design, RBD & PYRO simulations along with Bifrost and MASH, animation, videography and compositing work developed across film, advertising, and experimental design contexts. Each sequence reflects my interest in storytelling, technical precision, and the emotional depth that visual effects can bring to a narrative world.

INVADE

INVADE is a cinematic VFX sequence depicting a futuristic train invading a restricted zone. Created using Houdini, Maya, and Substance Painter, the project combines RBD destruction, PYRO explosions, procedural environments using Houdini's BIOMES system, and dynamic lighting to simulate a damp rainforest environment. The piece explores tension between technology and control, showing how motion, debris, sound and camera animations can convey chaos and beauty within the same frame.

BLINDED CITY

Blinded City is a stylised title sequence set in 1952 London during the Great Smog. Designed and animated using DaVinci Resolve, the piece blends cinematic storytelling with graphic motion design. Through dense atmosphere, diffused lighting, and noir-inspired composition, it explores themes of mystery, perception, and the city as a living organism. The project experiments with environmental VFX, typography, and narrative rhythm to immerse viewers in a world suspended between clarity and obscurity.

SPEED DARTS

Speed Darts depicts a cinematic moment of urgency within a military airbase as an approaching threat triggers a rapid response. A soldier races through the base, boarding a fighter jet as alarms sound and engines ignite. Created using Maya, Substance and Davinci Resolve, the sequence combines animation, simulation, and cinematic lighting to convey motion, tension, and realism, capturing the split-second precision and emotion of preparing for battle.

VIDEOGRAPHY

This videography project showcases a blend of technical precision and cinematic storytelling through controlled studio and on-location shooting. It features greenscreen compositing, dynamic crane and slider movements, and stabilised gimbal tracking to create fluid visual motion. The project integrates ADR audio recording and sound design to enhance narrative immersion, combining visual composition, lighting, and post-production techniques into a cohesive cinematic piece that highlights both creative direction and technical versatility.
