My name is Yitong Li, a multimedia designer exploring the intersection between storytelling, motion, and visual experience.
Smog and Secrets
This is an opening sequence design project called "Smog and Secrets". The project uses black and white images, high-contrast lighting and grainy textures to create a strong film noir atmosphere, combined with suspenseful music and jump cuts to express "the truth and secrets hidden in the fog".
A boy receives a mysterious camera; with each press of the shutter, fantasy and reality intertwine. He uses the camera to explore Melbourne, conveying imagination and creativity.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
