Armaan Singh’s artistic practice is characterised by a dynamic engagement with a wide range of materials, techniques, and styles. While he has found comfort in the digital medium, working across still images, animation, and 3D modelling, his practice remains exploratory, as he continues to experiment with various mediums to expand his technical skill set. Singh’s installations are often immersive, inviting viewers to physically and emotionally engage with his work. By creating environments that capture the audience, he seeks to provoke reflection on themes of mortality and the human condition.

In The Past

Multi-media Installation
In The Past is a personal installation that explores different elements of my childhood in India. The work reconstructs a setting similar to my childhood bedroom that serves as a site of memory and self-reflection. Central to the installation are two sculptures that represent versions of me at different stages of life, expressing the passage of time and personal growth. The accompanying video and drawings further explore this sense of nostalgia and longing. The video functioning as a collage of fragmented memories, while the drawings act as visual recollections of a space where I had once experienced a sense of freedom and belonging.
