Melbourne is known for its strong café culture and the Coffee House embraces this culture by providing the public with rich cups of coffee from across the globe. The Coffee House is a redistribution centre for international and local coffee. The centre also includes a roastery embedded within the public canteen area. The project aims to get the public involved in the process that takes place within the coffee house and this has resulted in the public space being intertwined within the roastery, and the sorting and packaging areas. It provides this public with a space to debate ideas and prompts conversation between people from different industries.
