The exploration of circular hubs resulted in a folly type project situated on top of the Caulfield Plaza. These hubs act as studio spaces, gallery spaces and spaces of rest for the students, staff and visitors of Monash University.
Circular intervention at the Bridge
The bridge area had great open spaces but not too many enclosed ones. Therefore I proposed to intervene community social hubs in which students and staff can rest study and work in. I made these hubs to be tall curved cylinders as they can break the strong wind that is felt on this location. Tall pillars are also placed to mimic the tree’s on the opposite side. These cylinders are on top of building c and the adjoining bridge. sky lights, openings and vegetation were further placed to connect the hubs to its surroundings.

In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
