Linh La is a graduating student of Bachelor of Architectural Design. The featured project is 'KANTA' which was designed in collaboration with Stephanie Wong.
As part of the MITA master plan, KANTA is a partnership between Kangan Insitute and MITA to respond to the lack of preparation and support of MITA’s current educational aspect. The project is an integration of education and fitness and wellbeing programs that aim to ease the transition of both adults and children to public schools and institutions and to encourage the importance of health and wellbeing to both MITA residents and the Broadmeadows community.
KANTA - Bird-eye Render
A partnership between Kangan Institute and MITA, KANTA responds to the lack of preparation and support of MITA’s current educational aspect. The project is an integration of education and fitness and wellbeing programs which aim to ease the transition of both adults and children to public schools and institutions; and to encourage the importance of health and wellbeing to both MITA residents and the Broadmeadows community. The render image depicts how the building interacts with the existing Kangan building and the context of the new MITA masterplan.
KANTA Long Section
The overall concept of transition intends to encapsulate not only the initiative to ease residents into the community but also the different transitions of private and public areas along with the connection of education and fitness spaces.
Look Up View From Ground Level
The perspective emphasises the intriguing void that is created from the displacement of the bridges of the lower levels. The activities and community interaction of outdoor areas can be perceived from below.
Axonometric and Connection Points
The drawing highlights the vertical circulation, programs and relatioship between private and public spaces, as well as the three connections to other programs within the master plan.
