My project, the Energy Hub aims to embrace renewable energy as a way to achieve net zero ambitions, to connect users to the natural environment and to empower communities to access and engage in clean energy sources.

Energy Hub

The Energy Hub is integrated with Monash University’s Education Building, at the Clayton Campus and its aim is to embrace renewable energy as a way to achieve net zero ambitions, to connect users to the natural environment and to empower communities to access clean energy sources. The Energy Hub aims to bring renewable energy through three ways: functional strategies, spatial stratgies and through education.

Natural Core

Spatial strategy: The energy hub features a natural core. The purpose of the core is to bring natural energy, such as solar radiation, light and air into the hub through passive design strategies.

Learning and Work spaces

Power Hub

Education: The Energy hub is also a place where people can engage in net zero initiatives.
The building has a Power Hub which is located in the existing Children’s Building and on Level 4. The Power Hub is an educational space for the community to learn and access renewable energy.
