Barham Park and Reserve - transitioning for future use

The Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve has been chosen for this project as a place where climate change adaptation and retreat will occur, to preserve the caravan park and relocate the community facilities available at the site. This project is in the context of the moved and lifted Great Ocean Road which will free the recreation area to enable climate change adaptation. This project will revitalise the recreation reserve through design excellence and the modification of future caravan park dwellings, whilst implementing a wetland adjacent to the reserve as a major tourist attraction which will help adapt the area to flooding impacts.
