Inclusivity in architecture refers to any space that can seamlessly be integrated into society and used by all the users possible in that context. Inclusivity can be met by various physical design techniques such as catering for the elderly + people with disability by making the building easily accessible. A therapy studio equipped with various art making appliances, music instruments and tools for exercise. Looking more into sound/ art therapy. These forms of therapy are accessible by the residents and will slow dementia rates and help with various physical strains that might come forth with old age.

Footscray Community Village

The floor plan consists of a simplistic design easily navigated by the inhabitants. Where the space has been divided into private and public space. The individual units are secluded from the common areas with restricted access. Railing and ramps are placed throughout the building to make it easily accessible by the elderly. The ground floor units will have their own separate garden space at the back of the building and a community garden space is allocated for the inhabitants in level one as well as the public on the side of the property.
