My name is Van Anh Nguyen. I intend to pursue further design studies to hone my artistic skills and knowledge. Throughout my years as a design student, I have developed an interest in exploring the relationship and connection between interior spaces, the city and its people. Furthermore, I sympathise with the ideology to transform and reuse architecture rather than resulting in demolition and starting anew. With this approach, I have discovered that it preserves and maintains the cultural and emotional values that may be present while also creating a new environment for people to feel comfortable within.

Airstoration
Airstoration explores the relationship between indoor air pollution and interior architecture in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The chosen site for the project is a historic yet symbolic building located in the heart of HCMC. However, the building has fallen victim to the growing threat of indoor air pollution, which has worsened over the years. Thus, the project intends to highlight and address the causes of Indoor Air Pollution within the building through combining Interior Architecture and Scientific theories. Furthermore, this project aims to stress the need for change in Vietnamese Architecture to create a more contemporary yet relevant approach for future projects.

Main Central Space
Located at the centre of the building is the central atrium. The area serves as the gathering point for all building visitors to interact, while offering a green space to combat indoor air pollution.

Atrium
This is the central atrium that spans from the ground to the top floor of the building.

Rooftop Garden
The rooftop garden aims to add more green elements and highlight the need for more, particularly throughout the concrete jungle where the site is located.

Residental Apartment
The redesigned apartments feature larger windows and modern kitchen appliances to improve air flow as there were neither features prior, resulting in toxic air quality.
