‘Gestures, Moments, Reflection’ is a two-fold creative strategy to extend and connect the Caulfield campus to the surrounding community. A programmatic pavilion mimics the form of Building E with gestures on traffic islands that engage pedestrians at stand-still moments bridging the pavilion and the campus. The pavilion has a conceptual relationship to the campus and is physical host for Stonnington and Glen Eira city councils to entertain arts and cultural events. The three gestures on the islands interact with passers through sound, light and artefact works.

In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
