The StudyBudi Campaign aims to provide university students support through a virtual buddy system. Through research kits that were sent out to university students during lockdown in Victoria, it was evident that COVID-19 negatively impacted their mental health and education, and that students lacked crucial support. This digital campaign aims to provide students with company and motivation while they study to ensure their experience during these difficult times end on a positive note.

Something that most, if not all of us have access to are phones, handheld devices that give us access to a wide range of entertainment, support, and information through the internet. The StudyBudi app is designed to provide users with a customizable “budi” that they take care of whenever they please. In addition to this, the app also has a journal/diary section that allows the user to write and reflect on how they feel and what they’re thinking. And finally, something that I feel is crucial when it comes to motivation is a small push, which in this case takes the form of motivational quotes that will inspire and brighten up the user’s day.

The poster serve two functions: to ask the viewer how they are as a means of self-reflection, as well as to promote the StudyBudi app and website launch. In this campaign, the awareness and importance of mental health is crucial to anyone and everyone, especially university students. These posters are designed to be seen by those students who work, since they are the ones who are out most of the time.

The StudyBudi website allows users to connect with other students like themselves, who seek company or motivation while they study. Inspired by the function of the Zoom platform, this allows the user to connect with others from around the world, serving as a digital classroom environment.
