Awakening. (Collaboration with Mia Tiernan)

Can technology replace human touch? Awakening is a speculative treatment centre that encourages the release of the stress reducing hormone, Oxytocin, in elderly beings embracing mortality and suffering from loneliness.
Through three bodily experiences, Embrace, Immersion and Levitation explore the body’s interactions with advanced technologies such as AI and low technologies to prompt the body into a state of relaxation.

Mycorrhiza

Mycorrhiza is a temporary immersive installation that animates when humans share stories and encourages them to let go of mobile technologies when entering the room. While technology is designed to bring people together, it may also leave people feeling isolated; recognising society’s excessive use of technology.
