I have designed various creative spaces, ranging from naturalistic to abstract environments exploring the senses. With my unique background of growing up in numerous countries, I witnessed the integration of abstract ideas, values, and perceptions of the world reflected in people’s behaviour. This instilled my desire to create abstract and unique spaces. In my final year I have focused on making spaces with the potential of being perceived in different ways by each user.

One Size Fits None

An installation that dives deeper into the controversial topic of sizing in fashion. The riveting integration of multiple coloured glasses and light creates an immense atmosphere in the Information hub on the ground floor. This abstract and aesthetically catastrophic sensation extends to the Merchandise store on the top floor. The eccentric use of mirrors in the middle floor creates distortion to arouse and voice emotions, leaving viewers mind-blown.

Disinfection Chamber - EduLand - Entrance

With another virus making its way around the world in 2046, ‘EduLand’ provides the next best alternative to traditional learning and travel experience. Entering the school (‘EduLand'), the students will make their way through the disinfection chamber, built to ensure that students health is kept as a top priority.

Music + Dance + Art domes - EduLand - Top floor

The domes produce colourful abstract artwork derived by the unique movement of the inside user to the pulsating rhythm of the cultural music being played. The user envision themselves being alone in the space and dancing with no one around, although the students outside can see the movements and the artwork being created. The design employs two-way glass around the dome to allow the users to truly free themselves.

Plant Lab - EduLand - Ground floor

While helping each other climb to the top, students will gain as much information as they can regarding the different native plants and the impact that the world has had on them. A fun and challenging activity which promotes collaboration and future-thinking.

Explore the World - EduLand - Ground floor

Students will gain a virtual experience of traveling to each country along with their peers. While being surrounded by a bamboo-held water curtain, the massive, heavily detailed projections will take them through a visual journey around the world. Each day will be a new experience, as the country being explored changes daily, motivating students to keep coming back to ‘EduLand’.

The Sustainable Living Archive

Using the authenticity of natural elements to manipulate light, as well as the surrounding environment, the archive provides a space for lectures and heavy discussions. The archive uses a combination of organic forms, and its raw aesthetic, to grab attention and inspire a change within the community.
