This project houses a small learning community in a natural environment located in Churchill National Park, Australia. These learning spaces can accommodate up to 100 students. The students learn about the nature of plants, particularly the invasive kind. Set in 2046, the speculative context predicts humans will be living more sustainable lives, however, the earth will be still suffering the consequence of humanity’s actions on its ecology from previous years. People have learnt to coexist with special weeds which have dominated the environment. This school specialises in invasive weeds. The drive behind the design is to gradually integrate the building with nature over time.
