Spatial design was never really something that I was aware existed; all forms of design were limited to graphic or interior/architectural design. Now, my creativity and affinity for design is endlessly explored through the lens of spatial design, a practice I hold dearly to myself and believe expresses who I am as a designer; as a person. My works focus heavily on socio-cultural politics and issues, as well as transcendental works of art that are not necessarily functional in everyday life. I enjoy producing works that evoke reactions and feelings in individuals that would not necessarily be present in perceiving ‘normal’ objects, be it a book, a cup, an animal, building or space.

Project Anarkhos - Conceptual Render 01

Preliminary collage of the inflatable 'suit' that would encompass a group of individuals travelling in the harsh climate of this fabricated world. Inspired by the man-o-war jellyfish, the 'suit' acts as a modular structure that can be constructed by any individual of any educational level. This was then improved later during the project by having the structure be a mobile home.

Project Anarkhos - Conceptual Render 02 & 03

This project revolves around the severe climate in this fictitious world and so I have developed wearable suits for individuals to wear when foraging and searching for food, water, or materials on land. The form fits around the crown of the individual's head and drapes down to their ankles, the UV protective material transparent enough to allow sight, but safe enough to manage the heat of the environment. The jellyfish theme carries on throughout this project as a form of symbolism - solitary creatures that navigate the vast oceans in search of adventure, without a care in the world.

Project Anarkhos - Conceptual Render 04

A fusion between mechanical and organic materials. Mechanical limbs to allow for rigidity and stability, but modular forms and joints to allow flexibility and fluidity. The bell of the structure is composed of material with a likeness to symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY), however, is tinted for UV protection and transparent enough to allow sight. This is the mobile home that allows for portable shelter.

Project Anarkhos - Film

This project explores the living environment in a world reduced to desert due to extreme climate change. Capitalist solution suggests 'protecting' society by disconnecting them with the dying world and ignoring the elephant in the room - the gaping hole in the ozone layer. Project Anarkhos, an anarchist run, community based counter strategy that encourages fellow citizens to turn away from the ARCOs and prove that it is possible to live in this dying world by roaming the Earth via a mobile home and wearable suits.

Roaming Entity (Concept Art 1|2)

Concept Art for Industrial Design - a unit that allowed me to explore digital drawing and painting scenes and objects outside of spatial design. This particular piece explores a mechanical structure that roams the land, collecting lost possessions and storing them in a compartment behind the 'head'.

Untitled (Concept Art 2|2)

Digital painting produced in Procreate featuring a Japanese torii half submerged in a lake.
