Hello, I am Mardi! I predominantly specialise in media and motion design with a focus on industrial and cinematic applications of multimedia design. Through my two Bachelor Degrees, in Media Communications and Communication Design, I have found myself drawn to the integration and experimentation of motion design and multimedia production. I look forward to further exploring and uniting my passions for film and animation productions in my future career endeavours.

Phantom Vibrations

This Project is an exploration of the way humanity’s relationship with the invisible digital world can disrupt the natural, holistic connection with the real world. Through multimedia production, this project incorporates 3D Animation and motion design to create a digital setting; with supporting aspects to audio production and editing to bring the world to life. The completed project explores how Phantom Vibration, the bizarre phenomenon where one imagines that a mobile phone has vibrated when it hasn’t, has infiltrated sacred and peaceful experiences and events.

This project is a video title card that could be used in multimedia production to introduce an idea, theme or concept. The title card was created using Adobe After Effects and it is an exploration of how combining typography and motion design can further emphasise meaning and context.

How To Change A Tyre

This project is an animated how-to video that explains how to change a tyre. The brief for this project was to create a free-choice animation of our choosing; allowing me to use a simple topic to explore visual motion design techniques and themes that I have not had the opportunity to explore before. The creation of this animation encompasses the use of Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects in collaboration to achieve a unique and eyecatching visual end product.

To Your Door Cinema Club

The brief for this project was to create a supporting animated video for a non-existent business. The animation that I created for this brief is a pre-screening video for a home cinema business, To Your Door Cinema Cub. Through the predominant use of Illustrator and After Effects, I took inspiration from the animated videos refreshment and PSA videos that played before the film at the drive-in movie theatres and created a modern-day version; a pre-movie checklist for the business’ customer to enjoy before their film screens.
