OSTIHOME was born from the constant daily struggle of scoliosis. The condition of scoliosis is a curvature in the spine, which can range from mild to severe. A mild diagnosis often does not need any attention, while severe scoliosis usually means surgery. Moderate scoliosis requires regular treatment which comes with its own difficulties. OSTIHOME offers a solution to this struggle, proposing a response to the constant management of moderate scoliosis. OSTIHOME works with professionals, offering rehabilitation treatment at the convenience of your own home. It is fully adjustable to adapt to many scoliosis cases, as each is vastly different.

OSTIHOME has been designed to be easy to set up and move around, as well as use. This is important because if the product is difficult to set up or move around, people simply will not use it.

After the user has set up the OSTIHOME, with the balls in the correct position and heated, the user lies down and slowly rolls, relieving any muscle tension.

OSTIHOME was designed with modularity to simplify the product and allow the user to easily build and interchange elements to suit their specific scoliosis case.

Each ball in use is heated prior to the user lying on the OSTIHOME. This was suggested by the professionals that provided advice throughout the project, explaining how it would relieve muscle tension. This is done by plugging each ball to a power cord provided. With a heating element and gel within each ball, they heat up.
