Hi, my name is Phuong Dung – you can call me Linda. I’m a designer who is passionate about illustration, printed publications, typography, and branding, etc. My work seeks to explore human psychology in our everyday life. My goal is to design and change the quality of life by giving directions to people.
I’m also interested in motion graphics and branding design. I believe that my designs can be more impactful if I incorporate powerful features such as motions into my illustrations and develop branding concepts out of these interests.

Cultural Expectations Posters
A timeline concept that portrays cultural expectations we face in life. This poster demonstrates what people are constantly pushed to do throughout various age groups. Social expectations are everywhere. Rules and guided sets of behaviours are passed down through older generations' experiences, media, and various platforms etc. The problem is that society has normalised expectations through this repetition, and we are forced to act accordingly so that expectations are met.

Cultural Expectations Design Research Kit
A design research kit about social expectations, that includes questionnaires and activities to gather information on this topic. Social expectations can place a lot of pressure on your back and be hard to overcome. Especially when other people's perspectives are turned into responsibilities. They can take control over our social lives.
This kit gently reminds participants not to let others’ opinions weigh on them too harshly. Instead, it prompts recognition of these expectations and suggests taking a step back and acknowledging achievements.

Natural & Artificial Connection Poster
Natural Connections poster ‘Intertwining Memories’ consists of a selection of objects that have deep connections to our past. As the piece of yarn intertwines together carrying the childhood and friendship chain, everything will be knitted together smoothly. Combining objects to express who we are, how we grow up, and what we aspire to be. Artificial Connections poster ‘Growing Relationship’ also carries the same concept, however the connection between the items is forced through the idea of growing our relationship with others. Placing a polaroid picture at the bottom and planting it until it blooms into some beautiful memories.

Cultural Expectations Communication App
A communication app for university students. It connects students to a community to share their difficulties and find advice about how to solve certain situations. There are two main sections within this app, first is ‘Your Advice’ this is where you share your experience and thoughts on a topic to help the community. The reason for this is people often give better advice to others rather than to themselves. The second section is ‘Suggestions,’ this is where you can find other people's previous advice on a certain topic. Each topic is categorised with hashtags to make topics easier to search. The last part of the app is ‘Changes I’ve Made’ which lets you record and see your progress.

AAMI National Park Typography
An exploration through typography to rebrand the AAMI National Park located in Australia. Taking distinctive parts of the building and getting inspiration to form letters from the football stadium. My inspiration was looking at the building from a plan view, the shape and the exits in all parts of the building, which are convenient for people who come and watch. The alphabet can be seen with the combination of circular and triangular shapes, which add elements from the building itself. Smaller details that I’ve also added in are the football or rugby ball on each horizontal alignment of each letter to feature the main sport throughout the typography.

Wool Berry Animated Branding
A company that approaches knitting with a whole new perspective by using shredded fruits to make a long strand. Dry and fresh fruits can be replaced by normal daily yarn to knit with. The target audience of ‘WoolBerry’ will be aimed towards university students and the elderly, helping them into a routine of recycling and making art out of it throughout the university. Enjoyable for all knitters to try out something new with knitting. The overall style of the brand would be sophisticated, with a fun and colorful twist. Unique features through the use of typography for the logo that I've designed myself.
