Shuhao (David) Bai - MADA NOW 2021 - Art, Design and Architecture

Hello everyone, I'm Shuhao Bai from China. You can also call me David. I came to Melbourne two years ago and it was my pleasure to study the Master of Design program at Monash University. The past two years have been an unforgettable experience for me. As I said in the application, the harder one works, the luckier one is. I am grateful to all my classmates and teachers for their help and guidance. For me, my master's study has come to a complete end, and I can't wait to start the next chapter of my life. These are my learning achievements and progress in the past two years. I hope you can see them.

Melbourne Music Festival

This application is for the Melbourne music Festival ticket system, store system and so on. Users can view event information (time, location), purchase tickets and select relevant information (number of people, seat location, date, etc.) or purchase music festival-related souvenirs.

Wear a Mask

This design project is set against the backdrop of COVID-19. When people are facing a new Normal, masks have become our daily necessities. In this process, I hope that the personalization of masks and the creation of another kind of communication can bring positive and optimistic attitudes to people and reduce their stress and negative emotions. Smile is important during this pandemic.

Mind temple

This was the first time I got in touch with Unity and worked on a design project. It was difficult but fun. I wanted these simple graphics to have a kind of story, as if people's minds, as ideas and information come in, the brain begins to process, and the process is poetic. I hope you like it.

SLEEPY- sleep aid App

It's an app that helps people get better sleep and better time management. First of all, after studying the pain points of modern people's living habits, our team selected sleep as the theme, studied 15 similar apps and conducted a large number of investigations. I designed this app, which has the functions of alarm clock, sleep music, sleep report and so on.

SnowGlobe Kiosk UI Design

This app is a custom snowflake service app for kiosks. Working with Figma and Unity, the design and balance between 2d UI and 3D objects was an interesting project. While the features are relatively simple and a little less dynamic, this is another step in my exploration of Unity.

Zombie / Us

This is an elective project of photography course, which completes a narrative story by using a variety of instruments and photography methods. My friends in the same group boldly chose the theme of apocalypse and zombies. The photography process was very hard, but I learned a lot. Please don't be nervous. There are Easter eggs at the end.
