Hi. My name is Xiaoyu Wu. My friends call me Romy. I specialize in publication design and visual identities. I am good at observing life with a careful eye and translating my experience into the design language. I enjoy experimenting with colour, typefaces and form to express emotion and I like showing a playful side in some of my work. I hope my work can arouse your social thinking and resonance.

Air Drying

The project explores the phenomenon of air drying in public space in China. It recorded the air drying in urban space and conducted interviews and questionnaires among the residents. It reflects the life pressure that residents are suffering and the impact of rising housing prices on residents' lives.

Air Drying – Binding

Air Drying – Inside pages

Air Drying – Hanging brochures

I try to arouse the audience's thinking about drying clothes by hanging the brochure in the public space in the same form as other clothing.

Paper Architecture – Elwood Bungalow

This publication is designed to establish a connection with the actual architecture. Elwood Bungalow relies on the idea of subtracting space as much as adding it.

Fading Memories

With the fast-paced development of society, we ignore the fact that something old that bears witness to history is gradually disappearing. The fading project is a matchbox history archive. It aims to evoke long-buried memories from people’s past journeys.
