This is a A4 art journal using blue and yellow as the main color. The journal contains Vincent Van Gogh's story of creation, life history and paintings, which let people know more about the most famous and influential figures in Western art history. For the paper stock in this project, I have chosen medium paper weight with coated paper finish as the page would be make images in the book look very smooth.

The feelings for me about this album are contemplative, cathartic, cold, harsh and caressing so I designed the font by using the idea of moving water. I felt the water could express the same feelings as this music. The environment under the sea is cold and mysterious, and the cast-off typefaces are used to express cathartic calm.

From library observation research, I have found that there are two different ambiences in the library. One is an open area, which is connected with the children's area. People in there enjoy the nice feeling of talking, playing and reading. Another is the study space in the library. People are concentrated on their work and these spaces are really peaceful with an atmosphere of learning. Thus, I have created a double side illustration A3 poster to express the scenes that I have seen in these two spaces. The main colour of the poster is green as I found lots of green things in the library, including the library’s logo.

These books are stories I’ve known since I was a child, so the target audience should be specific to children. The initial idea for this was to create a front cover with a specific element of the story in it. Little Red and the Princess and the Frog are the stories I selected for the front cover. The color choice is also inspired by the stories. The flap and the back cover have used different shadows of paper leaves and trees.
