My Name is Zach and I am a Melbourne based graphic designer and a recent MADA graduate. I studied a double degree of business and design, majoring in communication design and marketing. My love for creative design expands across a diverse range of areas including branding identity, publication design, illustrations and many more. I thrive in a dynamic environment and am constantly looking for new ways to improve my skill set. I hope you enjoy looking through some of my recent works.

A Place Beneath the Surface

This publication design documents a thorough exploration of drain culture in Melbourne. This unique environment has become an unintentional public space occupied by urban explorers, artists, skaters and ravers. Wanting to seek refuge from the world above, Melbourne's youth have pumped new life into these concrete veins that flow beneath the city surface.

Deep Purple Bruise

“Deep Purple Bruise,” explores the shadowy, rock-noir cult figure and Melbourne born guitarist Rowland S. Howard.

Cigarettes are used metaphorically throughout the exhibitions design. Like Rowland Howard, cigarettes are tall and slender, burning away leaving nothing but a damaged body and a cloud of smoke (A familiar sight for Rowland S. Howard on stage).

Complimented with a black, messy, grunge aesthetic, this exhibition captures the dark beauty of Rowland S. Howard’s music as well as being a reflection of his appearance.

Gardiners Creek Travel Guide

This visual exploration rejects typographic themes to provide a visual guide through the Gardiners Creek Trail. This small zine investigates how humans change the natural environment to better suit our needs. With digital manipulation I have created stitched patches over the top of the man made structures to emulate humanities distasteful additions to the natural environment. This zine explores themes of contamination and industrialisation amongst a once pristine natural landscape.

Wipeout balancing game

The importance of balance and coordination for young children and their development, can often be overlooked. Wipeout is an informative board game that requires participants to stand on the board, and balance a small metal ball through the maze in the centre of the board. In an aquatic themed design, children can feel like they are surfing whilst engaging in a fun and healthy way to develop crucial motor function skills
