My practice consists of multiple modes of making driven by experimentation and investigation. I am interested in the idea of ‘the copy,’ the transformation and process of one outcome to another. This is explored through paint, print and projection. I often use found materials from my surroundings such as organic matter, water and light, as ’tools for mark making.’ In particular, this collection of contemporary compositions encourages audiences to look beneath or above the surface, at representations of unnoticed life. Produced is an ‘archive’ of natural gestures, cell-like structures, shapes, lines, and patterns, which prompt audience imagination and consideration of familiar forms.
