My practice is to reflect by thinking of myself as a mirror, a lake.

My work is a series of soft sculptures created based on the ancient Chinese character "Nu Shu". Nvshu is a character created by ancient Chinese women, and a exclusively used by women. It was the resistance of Chinese women to the patriarchal society during the feudal period. The series of sculptures I created is a Chinese idiom "镜花水月 (Jing hua shui yue)"composed of Nushu. 镜花水月 means flowers in a mirror and the moon's reflection in water —a mirage. The Nvshu characters in sculptures are mirrored and deformed. This work is like taking myself as a mirror, reflecting my feelings about Nushu.
