Growing up in a traditional Chinese family, I was deeply influenced by the Chinese family values and appreciated the closeness between family members greatly. Due to my separation from my family in China during the pandemic, I investigated the Chinese perspective of family relation as seen by an international student from China. As part of this project, I examined the Chinese view of birth and the importance of blood ties in the family for Chinese people. This idea will be presented as a walk-in space for the audience to enter, explore and observe how birth and death are intertwined in Chinese culture.
