Team gathering at ISBT in Gothenburg, Sweden
October 2023
The REDDS2 study's UK and Australian teams gathered together at ISBT Gothenburg 2023 – the 33rd International Society of Blood Transfusion Congress in Gothenburg, Sweden. Dr Allison Mo, REDDS-2 Chief Investigator Australia, presented the study's poster. Recruitment update
November 2020
We are excited to announce the first patient has been recruited to the trial, in the Netherlands. Although there were delays in the trial due to COVID-19 earlier this year, our sites in Australia and the Netherlands are currently open to recruitment. Thank you to all staff at the local sites for your ongoing work and participation in the trial. Pictured right are Dorothea Evers, Marlijn Hoeks and Annegeet van den Bos from our Dutch trial team.
First site in Australia opens for recruitment
December 2019
Monash Health, Clayton, is the lead Hospital in Australia for the REDDS-2 Study. In December 2019, they were the first of three hospitals in Australia to open for patient recruitment. We look forward to working with Monash Health!
The remaining hospitals, including Austin Hospital in Victoria and Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, are scheduled to open in 2020.
REDDS-2 Study receives ethics approval in Australia
August 2019
The REDDS-2 Study received Human Research Ethics Approval (Reference Number: RES-19-0000-281A) in Australia from Monash Health Human Research Ethics Committee. Monash Health is the lead hospital for this study.
