The first STAREE Study Update was held in Melbourne on Friday 16 November 2018. The Alfred Lecture Theatre was close to capacity as participants eagerly gathered together for the first time. Principal Investigator Professor Sophia Zoungas spoke about the progress of the trial including the news that the 4,000th participant, Beryl Reeves, was recently randomised into the study. The STAREE team were excited to present her with a certificate acknowledging the milestone. The update concluded with discussions between participants and STAREE team members over refreshments.

The team hopes to take STAREE Study Updates on the road in 2019 and present at other sites around Australia!
