The position performs the dual roles of Chief Executive Officer, Monash University Malaysia, reporting to the Monash University Malaysia Board and directly to the President and Vice-Chancellor; also, the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Malaysia), Monash University Australia, reporting to the Provost and Senior Vice-President.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Malaysia) and Chief Executive Officer is responsible for leading the Monash Malaysia campus, ensuring the continuing strategic development of Monash Malaysia as a leading university within the Malaysian system, and as a valued contributor to the global network of Monash University presences. As the most senior position of the academic and professional staff that operate at the campus, the Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Malaysia) and Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the development and administration of non-academic policies, and for the academic development of the campus.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Malaysia) and Chief Executive Officer will be a forward-looking, astute and inspirational leader who can generate significant impact with a truly collaborative approach.

The successful candidate, supported by a high performing leadership team, will provide visionary leadership to further develop the research and education agenda, and will take a leading role in government, industry and broad community engagement in Malaysia and the region. Integrating the campus and leading the development of innovative synergies in education and research with other Monash programs and locations will be one of the priorities in the coming five years.
