Bacterial Pathogenesis

Welcome to the Boyce Lab

Our research is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance, bacterial pathogenesis and host immunity to infections.

We're part of the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute, and a member of the Infection Program and the Department of Microbiology.

Our research

Our research is focused on understanding how bacterial pathogens cause disease, how they become resistant to current antibiotic treatments and how they interact with the host immune system. We study important human and animal bacterial pathogens including, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pasteurella multocida, Pseudomonas aeuruginosa and Burkholderia pseudomallei.
