Here are a few highlights:
- Funding boost to find new gene test for high-risk prostate cancers, October 2019. A/Prof Taylor received a $500k grant from the PCFA in collaboration with kConFab at the PeterMac for a project which aims to identify new genetic drivers of prostate cancer.
- Monash BDI researchers honoured by Academy fellowships, October 2019. For her distinguished achievements and exceptional contributions to health and medicine, Prof. Gail Risbridger has joined the ranks of Fellows of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS)
- Cancer target emerges from basic science study, October 2019. An unexpected finding in a study into steroid receptors co-led by Dr Furic has pointed to a new target for hormone-dependent cancer. Published in The EMBO Journal , it has revealed a whole new level of gene expression regulation.
