Design and Development of Autonomous Airships

This multidisciplinary research project amalgamates design, simulation and implementation of control strategies for an autonomous path planning airship. The research focuses on the design and fabrication of an airship capable of effective control, development of a high-fidelity versatile flight dynamics model to anticipate the flight of the airship in real time, development of a control law that could stabilise and guide the airship during the mission, and the implementation of path planning algorithms for autonomous flight of an indoor airship.
