3D Modelling and Virtual Reality - Minor

3D modelling and animation focuses on creation. We can make digital worlds that appear real; we can craft digital models and ‘print’ them as physical forms, and we can 'scan' the material world to make a digital model. The implications for manufacturing, entertainment, design and scientific visualisation are wide-ranging. This minor provides students with the technical underpinning in creating and editing 3D models, animating them, and deploying them to build virtual worlds. It also offers the creative scope for students to develop a body of work in 3D character animation, immersive environments, and virtual and augmented reality.

This area of study is offered in the Bachelor of Information Technology or can be taken as part of other courses where you have 4 free electives.
