This is a collaborative effort between the David Rumsey Map Center at Stanford University and the Embodied Visualisation group at Monash University. The David Rumsey Map Center hosts one of the largest collections of historical maps and globes in the world. The project brings in our expertise in immersive visualisation to create novel and engaging ways to interact with these globes.

We built Globes app, the first immersive globe visualisation on the Apple Vision Pro’s marketplace. It makes historical globes accessible to wider audiences. We are also creating mixed reality globe visualisations that augment physical globes in the center for educational and research purposes, namely the Globus app.
