Human-centric AI Software Engineering (HumanAISE) Lab
Shaping a better future for humans with AI.
Background
The original HumaniSE Lab was established in the SSC department as part of Prof John Grundy’s ARC Laureate fellowship in 2020. Over the last ~6 years, it grew into a strong name in the local and international SE research community. Over these years, the lab has ranged from 2-6 post-docs, and an ARC-funded project officer, with 10-20 PhDs. Previous projects, news, videos, and artefacts can be found here.
Renewed Focus
The renewed HumanAISE (version 2.0) emphasizes a human-centric approach to the engineering of AI software, i.e., AI software engineering. The HumanAISE Lab thrives on diversity and collaboration, bringing together experienced researchers, early career researchers, and industry partners to foster deep research and innovative solutions in AI software engineering, keeping humans and society at its center.
