CCA-1 Secure Updatable Encryption with Adaptive Security

Regularly changing encryption keys is widely recognized as an effective approach to mitigate the risk of key compromise, especially when outsourcing encrypted data to a semi-honest cloud server. Updatable encryption (UE), introduced by Boneh et al., offers a practical solution to this challenge. UE allows the cloud server to update ciphertexts by itself, with the help of the token received from the user. In this presentation, the speaker will discuss recent developments in this field and present a UE scheme based on lattice trapdoor techniques, which achieves both CCA-1 security and adaptive security.
