The deer park is located near the Kororowa River, the area was settled by the Kokoroit people in the early 18th century, and the surrounding environment is very good, with trees, no environmental pollution and excessive noise pollution. Due to the long term use of explosives and heavy processing of chemicals, the entire deer park area received serious factory noise pollution, which residents could not bear. This project will focus on designing complex multi-functional buildings for nearby residents using noise pollution and environmental pollution as the starting point.

Axonometric

The concept comes from the history of explosion factory explosions. This process is abstracted into the current architectural form, an underground gallery and an inverted triangular three-story main building. The top layer is shaped by an irregular hole to simulate the shattered shape of the explosion, reflecting the history of the factory explosion.

Second Floor Plan

Most of the second floor is used as an exhibition hall of the explosion factory, displaying some historical objects and pictures from the explosion period. At the same time, there is an opening in the exhibition hall, where people can better feel the environmental pollution caused by noise. The entire second floor is generally noisy and the place with the most traffic. The Drak room is designed to make people better experience the pain caused by the noise and unseen environmental pollution that people suffered in this place during World War II.

Ground Floor Plan

Compared with the exhibition hall on the second floor, the first floor as a whole is relatively quiet, and most of the users are used by residents and workers who live around. Most of the whole floor is the library and communication area. Compared with the second floor, the circulation of people is greatly reduced and this floor is quieter.

Elevation AA

This elevation views the entire building from a side view, the building is built on both sides of the road to facilitate pedestrian traffic and vehicle access.

Section AA

The material of the whole building is mostly poured with internal concrete, and the external veneer is mostly composed of wooden boards and gravel. Crushed stone better reflects the damage to the environment when the factory explodes with a loud noise. Waterproofing and soundproofing materials were installed inside the walls to enhance the durability and practicality of the building.
