Melbourne's inner city has Australia's highest population density at 22,400 people per square kilometres. A large density of people occupy the residential, commercial and workspace sectors of the CBD. High density cities brings about higher waste. and most commonly, plastic waste. Although some types of plastics are now banned in Victoria, there are still some regularly used types of plastic or huge piles of already wasted plastic. Properties of plastic can potentially help bring about a better use for it. The aim is to use plastic waste like plastic bottles and straws to build a Pavilion for the purpose of instilling awareness among people.
