This project is located in Bali, in a civic context of reconciliation, primarily between two different religious belief systems, between people that have traditionally different perspectives of how they act and go about their daily lives. The proposal creates a swimming pool as a civic building that brings all people together in a public activity, where people can have a wonderful time with their family and other families too. Emphasising the engagement with children encourages an ease of mind about the potentials for conflict. Inclusivity of different people with different beliefs is achieved through the engagement of the building in its surroundings and the use of architectural semi-transparency to create curiosity for the community to come inside and participate with what is happening.

Swimming Pool Facility for Klungkung

A swimming pool that is placed on a post religion conflict context, where two different parties have different perspective of how they do and act to things in their daily life. It acts as a civic building that brings all people to this public activity, where lots of engagement with kids makes these people to have an ease mind about the conflict that they have and focus on having a wonderful time with their family and other families too. In order to attract different people with different beliefs, it is crucial to have a semi-transparency of building to create curiosity for them to come inside and look what is happening.
