Nanchang Municipal Comprehensive Swimming Center, as a civic architecture, is located in the center of the new urban area. It not only provides daily activity space for urban residents, but also provides residents with multi-angle perspectives to experience and observe the whole city.

Basic Information about site and project

The project is located in Nanchang, southeast of China. Just like Melbourne, there is a river in my city that runs through the whole city and divides it into the new city and the old city. In order to provide better activities and services for urban residents, project is located near the square in front of the new city government, close to the river bank. The symmetrical planning of the government building and the fountain square next to it is obvious, and the discontinuity of the symmetry axes of the two leads to the core idea of the whole project planning---The rotation of symmetry axis

Overall plan of the project in site

By following the idea of "axis of symmetry rotation", the whole project is divided into three platforms with different levels, which extend down the river bank slop until reaches the river.

Master plan with material

From the master plan, you can see the planning of the swimming pool, the comparison and interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. The flyover used for riding and walking also provides participants with another level of perspective.
