Museum Of Energy

My proposal is about taking over the Yallourn Power Station W after it was decommissioned in 2028 and turning it into a museum showcasing the technologies being used to generate energy.
The museum consists of 2 technologies. One is brown coal energy, the technology currently being used. The other one is geothermal energy. The idea is to have both the new and old technology co-exist in 1 space so people can understand more about the history of generating energy and how we can improve it. With that information, they can discuss it with experts to figure out how we can enhance geothermal technology to become more viable.

Discussion Space

A discussion space is placed in the middle of the 2 technologies, this is a place where visitor get together to discuss about the technology and exchange ideas with expert on how we can improve the machines. The room must be separated from the machine noise in order to have a productive discussion. Therefore, a soundproof glass room is needed to make it quiet.

Elevation

The roof form of the building describe waving water from the flooded pit.
