Regarding THE state energy plan, the yallourn power station will be demolished in 2028 and planning to transform into a mega-watt battery storage station. There is an essential need to provide near-site accommodation and reskilling space for workers during the 12 months construction period for the new battery station. Infinity town is a project that offers accommodation, reskilling centre and temporary entertainment spaces for workers. After the construction period, infinity town will operate as a visitor resort, with views of the old Yallourn reservoir, power station and the mine pit.

The transformation of a coal fire power station into a battery storage station is the movement that new power replaces old power. We can not distinguish which power should not be proud of since our value differs from people born in the 1920s. Instead, we celebrate it, keeping the memories and reemerging the pride of Yallourn.
