Paper Architecture

This brief was all about translating an architectural place into a publication. I chose a house in Hawthorn named Levos house. I focused on the contrast between privacy and exposure and used type, colour, format and materials to convey this. The wooden exterior was created with hinges on the edges, allowing the publication to open and close. When the wooden doors open, this illustrates the idea that the information in the booklet’s are permissible to the readers.
I used acrylic oils to create two paintings, one with dark colours; where you feel lonely and scared (resembling privacy) and the other with bright, uplifting colours, where you feel comfort and warmth (resembling exposure).

Poster design

This brief was about designing a poster for an environment. I chose Collingwood yards in Melbourne. I had to use my observations of my chosen surroundings to convert it into an A0 visual poster. I picked up on graffiti and artistic freedom in the suburb of Collingwood. I then created a poster aiming to resemble these ideas.

Social media for Pick a Pav

This brief was about creating an identity for a food in which we had a fond memory as a child. I chose to create a 'Make your own' pavlova bar, as this was a popular dessert in my household. I designed the logo and took all original images in order to create a social media platform for the brand Pick a Pav.
