Thanh Nguyen

Hi all, I am Thanh, also known as Jessica. I am from both Collaborative and Communication Design. I am passionate about building applications, user interfaces and using my programming skills to bring these products to life. I have always been curious and yearned for new knowledge, which is why I am learning more about user experience and packaging design. In design I value simplicity, sustainability, collaboration and minimalism. To me, great design requires collaboration between users and designers.

SCAM PROJECT - Design Research kit

The campaign is divided into two parts: research and activation. The design research kit had a quiz and a place for people to write down their thoughts or experiences about the subject. Real-life examples were used to teach Australians about scams and the cyber security crisis. These examples served to increase user knowledge, which would help them better identify scams in the future.

SCAM PROJECT - SCAM IDENTIFY GAME

Inspired by the research phase, I designed a mobile game. In this game, there is a mother, father, grandfather, grand- mother, and a child. The family encounters a number of scams, which they need to identify and act upon correctly. If the wrong action is taken, the family hypothetically loses money from their bank account. The game can be played many times, and each time, the user will run into a different kind of scam.

Personalised Scent Accessory Project

This project was made for those who are passionate about scents and want to carry particular aromas around with them. The scent combinations are endless, so you can make smells that are based on perfume, food, nature, or the atmosphere. This project contains two components: scent customization, where users can create their own unique scent, and the personalisation of the accessory forms, which use Lava Rock Beads. This material is easy to maintain and can hold the scent for up to 12 hours.

Monash Food Innovation New Frontiers Program 2022

A new savoury pantry product made using an innovative new ingredient called Pea Pollard. P-Lenty specialises in making baked products that are healthy, delicious, and are packed in convenient environment-friendly packag- ing. This type of product is made for the on-the-go meal market, which is aimed at people in a rush. Pea pollard is a waste ingredient in the pea processing process. It contains a high level of protein and fibre that can be con- sumed by humans and livestock.

'MADA Resources for Thriving Moodle Site Redesign'

Resources for Thriving is a moodle site made just for MADA students. It has a huge number of resources for study- ing and taking care of yourself. The standard Moodle template used for the current site is restrictive, but with my knowledge of design and programming, I was able to redesign and restructure the site so it was more functional and visually appealing. The design focused on three principles: interactive, visual, and convenient.
