Welcome! My name is Emily and I am a communication designer specialising in UX/UI design. I have a variety of interests in design including illustration and motion, and I chose to focus on UX/UI because it is exciting to create an interactive product that can help people and make a positive impact. I also studied IT alongside design, so I sometimes dabble in front-end web development, 3D modelling, texturing, and animation too.

Illuminate - Financial Literacy Campaign

This campaign aims to increase conversations and openness around the topic of finances and money, as well as educate more people on financial literacy in an engaging and accessible way.

'Illuminate App Click-through'

The primary outcome of this campaign is an educational mobile app that uses easy-to follow interactive lessons to help users improve financial literacy. The app also has social features like weekly leaderboards and the ability to challenge your friends to complete a lesson with a prize on the line, adding social accountability while making learning even more interesting.

Discussion Website & Stickers

This website is a discussion space to encourage conversations around finances and money to reduce the taboo-ness of this significant topic. People can anonymously share their responses to questions and gain perspectives shared by others. The questions will be spread using stickers, and people can follow the URL on there to find the discussion board website.

'Promotional Animations'

This series of three short animated videos aim to promote the 'Illuminate' mobile app where people learn financial literacy. The animations are short and simple with some pseudo interactive buttons to engage the audience and allude to the functionalities of the app.

Design Research Kit

Before designing, we actually conducted research to prepare ourselves. This design research kit was created to gain insights into financial literacy and thoughts about money and finances in young adults. The design research kit includes 10 activities on 10 cards that aim to gather information in an engaging method.
