“Pluck the Stars”
The theme of my campaign is "Pluck the Stars" and the aim of the Campaign is to offer advice and help to the youth depression community in a light-hearted and lively way. Primary Outcome is made up of two main components. The first is a traditional poster. The second part consists of six star-shaped bookmarks. On the back of each bookmark is written a piece of advice for people with depression to recover. People can choose a bookmark to suit their needs. Pluck a Star". The bookmarks can be used and kept for a long time, and can also be used to show depressed people that they are cared for by strangers.
DRK
I identified the social issue of depression as a research topic by relating it to my own life and experiences. Through the DRK survey and feedback, I further narrowed my research to focus on depression in adolescents. The aim of the project was to "design a campaign to help and advise young people who are depressed through the findings of DRK".
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
