Monash Art, Design and Architecture Student Exhibition 2022

Nicole Sue Lynn Leaw

Hi, nice to meet you! I am a double degree student with a Bachelor of Design and a Bachelor of Information Technology, with a very diverse range of skills, in particular:
Design, illustration, 3D art, 2D and 3D animation, video editing, website design and coding!
All projects can be found on my website, thank you for viewing!

The Exhibit of Gratitude

An entire interactable exhibit, with furnishings and decorations based on the activities of my Design Research Kit.

The idea of my exhibit is that most light surfaces (table top, walls, wall scrolls) can be written on, though the pie chart inspired table top offers some topics to prompt discussion for visitors. I’ve also incorporated a circular display rack to allow visitors to take a gratitude journal if desired.

Patterned Wall Scrolls

A render of the patterned scrolls in my exhibit, featuring illustrations present in the Gratitude Journals and the DRKs. Can be written on by visitors.

Gratitude Journals

A gratitude journal designed for daily use, to be used as a reminder of the good things and people around oneself.

Users are prompted to share their entries on social media using #GratitudinalEntry to encourage sharing and discussion in the online sphere as well as reality.

The Exhibit of Gratitude / Empty Ver

A render of the exhibit untouched and empty, with the gratitude journal display
fully stocked, and no writing on any surfaces.

The circular chair is reminiscent of campfire
and park seating to encourage communal activity, and circular cushions are placed upon it
to reinforce the cozy and inviting nature of my space.
