Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2023

I am a passionate and dedicated architectural student on a journey to transform spaces and shape the built environment. My work represents a fusion of creativity, adaptability and understanding of the principles of architecture. I am committed to further exploring innovative design concepts and sustainable solutions for future projects.

Rethinking Hair Salons

Reimagining the hair salon as a space that is not only dog-friendly but also a tranquil escape from the responsibilities of the outside world. This hair salon is located in Sydenham Green, Sydney and is inclusive to all those who wish to pamper themselves (and their dogs).

Salon Collage

This collage captures the essence of the salon, a place for learning and growth. The salon is a place to retreat from reality and focus on yourself.

Styling Work Station

This workstation is adaptable to both the clients and hair dressers needs. It allows for optimum privacy and all the products are in the one place. It is mobile to allow for easy movement both in and out of the salon. The workstation also takes inspiration from the mosaic aspects of the Sydenham Green Park.

Ground Floor Plan

This floor plan explores the modularity of the building and the concept of "gradient" starting from a solid material at the front of the building and working backwards, slowly breaking away to reveal the stick-like components of the structure and exploring the busyness of the back of house.

Back of House Courtyard

This render captures the interactions of the community in the courtyard space, and how the architecture welcomes pets. The brise soleil diffuses the light to create a welcoming atmosphere but further highlights the concept of the gradient.
