Hello, my name is Irene Kim. I'm a communication designer specialising in identity and illustration. My work spans across a diverse array of mediums in both digital and analog methods, creating graphic prints, illustrations, campaigns, and typefaces.
My university graduate project "MXM" (MIXMATCH) is about an online clothing swap community and raises awareness of overconsumption amongst Generation Z. It focuses on the individual’s purchasing behaviour, encouraging minimalism and mindful purchasing. This campaign highlights the importance of balancing sustainability in consumption, whilst acknowledging the importance of throwing away clothes in an environmentally conscious way.

Campaign 'MXM' Flyer, A4 size. The event flyer is promoted around the street and wall, asking viewers about their thoughts on clothes, and adding QR codes (link to MXM Instagram account) and cut slips (MXM Instagram account) to check the campaign directly and follow the account to find out more.
MXM(MixMatch) - Social Media Campaign
Campaign 'MXM' Instagram. Instagram is a main community site for clothing exchanges that makes it much easier for users to keep in touch, exchange clothes, or communicate with each other.
MXM(MixMatch) - Wardrobe Check
Campaign 'MXM' DRK, 20cm x 137cm My industry focus was the Fashion Society. I was interested in this because I was conscious of my impulsive buying, and I transferred this idea to a DRK (Design Research Kit) called 'Wardrobe Check'. I realised that the first thing to reduce or throw away unnecessary clothes was to check the wardrobe. The questions in the form of long receipts will help you determine how many clothes you already have and check your purchasing behaviour.
